WRITTEN CONSTITUTION OF THE TEES VALLEY PARTNERSHIP BOARD

Written Constitution of the Tees Valley Partnership Board

The core purpose of the Tees Valley Partnership is:

• To speak and act for the Tees Valley on economic issues particularly vis a vis One NorthEast.

• To co-ordinate the better provision of services in support of economic growth.

• To develop, own and co-ordinate the implementation of a strategy for the economic development of the Tees Valley in correlation with partner organisations i.e. the Tees Valley Vision.

• To co-ordinate European funding under Objective 2 across the Tees Valley.

• To build on our base of working together in constructive collaboration.

Since the core purpose was agreed, One NorthEast has given the Tees Valley Partnership the task of preparing and co-ordinating the implementation of the Tees Valley Action Plan for 2002/2005.

A concordat has been signed which sets out the relationship between the Partnership and One NorthEast which recognises the role of the Tees Valley Partnership as a focal point for the economic development of the Tees Valley. It is recognised by One NorthEast as the sub-regional partnership for the Tees Valley articulated in the Regional Economic Strategy.
